People spend, on average, 58 seconds reading the homepage of a website. That gives me 58 seconds to provide users here with all the information they need to make a decision; do I hit the back button or do I go deeper?
If users choose the latter, no problem, we have a content rich website written by humans, for humans, not corporate machines - I personally find it quite engaging. But what about the people who hit the back button?
I understand, I'm that guy. We don't have time to browse 10 pages of images and text to get a feel for a brand, what they do and more importantly, how they do it.
So what's the solution? I'm not sure there is one, but one thing I enjoy more than statistics is an experiment.
Our aim is to present a website alternative providing a distilled view of who we are, what we do and ensure our work ethic and ethos is represented.
We'll shortly publish this as a PDF on our social media channels to give prospective clients, or those who are just interested, a convenient way to get a 'feel' for Grey Space. If you have any ideas to share where we can improve the look or content drop us an email or leave a comment.
