The end of the year, for many, is about Christmas but around here it’s also when we celebrate our birthday and December 2018 marks our second as a company.
Two Wise Men
At two years old, our wisdom has approximately doubled since this time last year, or halved, depending on who you speak to but one thing is for sure, I’m not going to stop sharing it.
In last year’s blog I spoke about patience:
“Your website visits won't melt the internet on day one and that's OK. Keep grinding, if you put in the work, things will happen.”
When I wrote that, our focus was on becoming a sustainable business. After a lot of hard work and some of the aforementioned patience, in 2018 we reached a point where we could stop talking about sustainability and start figuring out how to grow and improve the business.
It’s been a long road, filled with ups and downs but one thing it hasn’t been is boring.
After a hectic summer, we chose to invest further in our contact centre wallboard solution, Discover. Specifically, bringing forward our plan to move Discover from an on-premises solution to a cloud based one.
In October, we began the delicate process of pulling Discover apart and reassembling it to work with Microsoft Azure as well as updating our processes to match. As of now, our entire solution lives in the cloud, which is something we’re quite excited about and we’ll go a little deeper into the implications of that with a dedicated blog early next year.
Before signing off, I’d like to say thank you to everyone we worked with this year and to those who recommended us or just got in touch for a catch-up – It’s all massively appreciated.
After some long weeks, lots of travel, office cartwheels and some office face palms I’m looking forward to a break but I’m looking forward to get stuck into it all again next year much, much more.
Happy holidays, and see you all in 2019.
